Salty Dog Destinations
Salty Dog is passionate about all fishing. Give us a rod and a body of water and we’ll chase it! We want nothing more than to share this passion with likeminded people.
Salty Dog keeps their groups small deliberately, so that you can be assured of untrampelled beaches and our tours are usually a couple of days longer than you’d find anywhere else. You will have an experienced guide with you ensuring that everything goes to plan.
We have many clients who keep on returning, so don’t bargain on your trip being quite ‘once in a lifetime’ …
South coast bass fishing, UK
Salty Dog is well known for its south coast sea bass fishing trips in Chichester Harbour. These day trips have proved to be very popular with the angling community in England for almost a decade, and Salty Dog guarantees you an unforgettable day out in Chichester harbour chasing European bass.
We operate our own vessel, Salty Dog, from Itchenor Harbour. You will receive useful advice and tips during the day from your knowledgeable host.
West Africa Fishing
Gabon, São Tomé & Príncipe, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Guinea-Bissau aren’t countries you normally hear when talking about travel fishing. All of them are unexplored fishing regions of West Africa, which make them perfect if you’re after a real adventure. These are pristine fishing waters, there are no crowds and some destinations are suitable for family holidays as well.
West Africa fishing is a bucket-list destination for the adventure angler with the season running from October – May. Apart from superb fishing, West Africa has fantastic nature reserves, where wildlife and birds abound. Jungle treks, gorilla safaris, elephant on the beach, whale watching, turtle watching, bird watching, to name but a few other activities so that you can experience the real Africa. You can get a taste of what is on offer when you browse our galleries.
Through meticulous expedition planning, we do the hard work in organising the trip of a life time for you. You won’t find many tourists here, so you can expect undisturbed shoreline fishing. Travelling in small aircrafts, 4x4s and boats to get to your destination and reach the pristine fishing waters, you’re sure to have a memorable African experience.
An absolutely amazing group of guides and fisherman. Always good times and laughter with great fishing thrown in. The West African trip is also amazing and worth the adventure to fish for Tarpon and so many other species. Saltydog are not only passionate anglers but they all are at the forefront of Conservation here in the UK and West Africa and they will spread the goodwill message and teach you all about it too.
